2010 NSF Educational Contests

The Memphis Chapter of North South Foundation (NSF) will host its 2010 Educational contests at the India Culture Center and Temple on May 1 and 2, with check in beginning at 9:00 am.

Please visit the North South Foundation web site at www.northsouth.org to find information about the contests being held this year, and register online, prior to April 15, 2010. There will be no on-site registration at the contest venue.

The contests available are: Spelling Bee, Vocabulary Bee, Math Bee, Science Bee, Geography Bee, Essay Writing Bee, and Public Speaking Bee. For each of these contests the participants will be grouped by their school grade. Click on the “2010 Regional Contests” link on the left side of the page to see the contestant groups. A new left side menu has a link for contest calendar, where you can check on the contest times and venues for each contest, and register online.

Parents must login first in order to register their children for contests. Each contest event registration fee includes a tax deductible donation.

General information regarding each contest event is available by clicking on the event name on the orange bar on the home page of the web site. A second orange bar which appears when you pick an event, provides links to the additional information regarding each contest including rules, syllabus, sample questions, and preparation resources.

If you have any questions, please contact me at 901-258-8592 or rdasari321@gmail.com.

The NSF Memphis Chapter would greatly appreciate the help of volunteers to help with conducting the contest as well as sponsors who could help fund awards for winners.

Thanks,
Ravi Dasari
Regional Coordinator, Memphis Chapter, North South Foundation.
